Data Center Service Delivery Lead (Infrastructure Operations)
Location: Ashburn, VA (On-site / Hybrid)
Status: Long-Term Strategic Contract
Compensation: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour (Market Adjusted for Ashburn)
The Opportunity:
NNR Group is seeking a seasoned Infrastructure Operations Lead to oversee delivery operations within a complex, vendor-managed environment. This is a high-impact leadership role focused on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of cloud and data center services. Core Responsibilities:
- Operational Oversight: Direct the daily operations of data center and cloud services, ensuring robust incident, change, and problem management.
- Vendor Accountability: Act as the primary lead for vendor relationships; set clear performance expectations, validate deliverable quality, and resolve performance gaps.
- Escalation Management: Serve as the critical escalation point for infrastructure-related issues, driving rapid resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Process Engineering: Support the transition to vendor-led operating models by clarifying roles, responsibilities, and documenting undocumented workflows for operational clarity.
- Executive Reporting: Produce concise, actionable status reports for leadership, identifying risks and proposing fact-based solutions.
- Governance & ITIL: Ensure strict adherence to ITIL frameworks and corporate governance standards to maintain 5-star service availability.
- Strategic Action: Implement corrective action plans to resolve recurring infrastructure dependencies and drive measurable operational progress.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5–10 years of experience in Infrastructure Operations, Service Delivery, or large-scale transformation projects.
- Management Expertise: Proven track record of managing outsourced/vendor-led service models in a high-pressure environment.
- Technical Frameworks: Deep mastery of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, and Problem Management).
- Communication: Exceptional reporting and documentation skills with the ability to present fact-based insights to executive stakeholders.
- Leadership: Strong ability to drive results across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Cloud Awareness: Experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure governance/security.
