Status: 6-Month Strategic Contract (Long-term Extension Potential)
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM EST
Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate + Travel Reimbursement
The Opportunity:
NNR Group is seeking a high-autonomy Data Center Technician to support a premier financial services infrastructure in Ashburn. This is a unique opportunity for a veteran technician to serve as the primary on-site technical lead, responsible for maintaining the integrity and performance of critical systems during swing-shift operations. Core Responsibilities:
- Facility Ownership: Serve as the primary on-site technical resource for Ashburn-based mission-critical facilities.
- Deployment & Decommission: Oversee and execute the full lifecycle of hardware, including installations, upgrades, and large-scale decommissions.
- Infrastructure Management: Professional rack, stack, and cabling of servers, high-end routers, and complex network equipment.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across various server brands, switches, and networking components.
- Structured Cabling: Perform meticulous cable management and labeling within high-density, enterprise-grade infrastructure.
- Service Excellence: Utilize internal ticketing systems to track, prioritize, and resolve technical requests with a focus on SLA compliance.
- Data Integrity: Maintain precise hardware inventory records using internal databases and advanced Excel tracking.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in a Tier III or Tier IV Data Center environment.
- Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in racking/stacking, hardware decommissioning, and troubleshooting servers, routers, and switches.
- Communication: Strong professional presence with the ability to communicate technical status clearly to executive leadership and remote teams.
- Physicality: Expert-level cable management skills in high-density environments.
- Tools: Proficiency with ticketing systems (Jira/ServiceNow) and Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking.
