The Opportunity:
NNR Group is seeking a seasoned HR Manager for an impactful contract role with a dynamic non-profit organization in Santa Rosa. As the lead for HR operations, you will serve as a critical partner in maintaining organizational health, ensuring total compliance, and fostering a supportive culture for a dedicated workforce. This is a high-visibility role for an HR professional who thrives on "owning" the full employee lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct daily HR activities to ensure efficiency and alignment with the organization’s mission.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor, managing complex relations cases from intake to resolution while providing expert coaching to management.
  • Compliance & Safety: Oversee leave administration (LOA), workers’ compensation claims, and OSHA compliance, ensuring all safety committee practices are up to code.
  • Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end onboarding and offboarding experience to ensure a seamless transition for all team members.
  • Payroll & Data Integrity: Audit payroll for accuracy (W2/Non-Exempt) and maintain high-integrity employee data within HR systems.
  • Reporting: Maintain rigorous documentation and prepare detailed HR metrics and reports for leadership.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years of HR operations experience, including at least 2 years in a management capacity.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep expertise in VA employment law, benefits administration, and leave compliance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR or Business preferred; HR certification (SHRM/PHR) is a significant advantage.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment.
