Bookkeeper / Office Manager (Construction Industry)

Location: Falls Church, VA (On-site / Hybrid Potential)
Status: Contract | Contract-to-Permanent
Compensation: $34.00 – $40.00 per hour

The Opportunity:
NNR Group is representing a respected Northern Virginia construction firm seeking a versatile Bookkeeper / Office Manager to lead their financial and administrative operations. This is a critical role for an organized professional who understands the unique financial nuances of the construction sector. Core Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • AP/AR & Payroll: Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and end-to-end payroll processing for office and field staff.
  • Project Accounting: Organize vendor invoices, purchase orders, and client billing; assist with budget tracking and financial forecasting.
  • Office Leadership: Coordinate daily office operations, manage vendor relationships, and oversee facilities and supply inventory.
  • HR & Administrative Support: Support employee onboarding, maintain accurate HR documentation, and serve as the operational liaison between leadership and staff. 

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of bookkeeping or office management experience, specifically within the Construction or Trades industries.
  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Technical Stack: Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online), Sage, or similar construction accounting software, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP principles and construction-specific financial workflows.
  • Attributes: Exceptional organizational abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
