The Opportunity:
NNR Group is seeking a results-driven Senior Accountant for a critical receivables cleanup project in Fairfax. This role is designed for a financial professional who excels at high-volume backlog remediation and account reconciliation. You will play a vital role in improving financial accuracy, reducing aging exposure, and optimizing payment processing cycles for a premier regional organization.

Core Responsibilities:

• A/R Remediation: Conduct deep-dive research and validation of account-level data to resolve aged receivables and ensure balance accuracy.
• Discrepancy Investigation: Audit financial records to identify root causes of inconsistencies, document findings, and execute resolutions in compliance with GAAP.
• Cash Application Recovery: Identify and resolve unapplied or misapplied cash transactions; ensure proper allocation and timely system adjustments.
• Collections Support: Prepare demand letters and compile comprehensive invoice documentation to facilitate active collection cycles.
• Commitment Tracking: Monitor Promise-to-Pay (PTP) commitments, track adherence, and escalate high-risk exceptions to leadership.
• Workflow Coordination: Manage account corrections and deal-date changes across internal systems (Workday/Salesforce) while maintaining meticulous audit trails.

Requirements:

• Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Financial Operations, with a specific focus on Account Cleanup/Remediation.
• Technical Stack: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with platforms like Workday, Salesforce, or SmartSheet.
• Analytical Depth: Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving complex financial discrepancies.
• Communication: Strong ability to document findings clearly and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Attributes: High attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
